I had heard of a new pen in the market for capacitive screens, such as the apple ipad/iphone and itouch. I had been using the pogo for everything but was up to try something new. A friend mentioned the DAGI stylus which odd enough works better than the pogo. It seems to be more precise and easier to hold. It takes some getting used to as it is a bit weird, but it seems more responsive than the pogo all around. Here is a quick review of the DAGI. If you have any questions just ask. I got the DAGI stylus via ebay.

thanks for makin this video.. great review.. and i really like the clear tip.. allows you to see exactly where you’re drawing.. you think it would be easy to use in a handwriting, note-taking app? and really nice drawing by the way!
@Pistolero3 no that does not work, as this has nothing to do with wacom.
@williamalvarez If I want to print anything I just email it to myself and print it from there, so just fine.
If the ipad had wacom sensitivity it would make this one of the best tablets out there. But at the moment it does not, but works just fine for me.
@hypersapien no plastic does not scratch glass, specially flat plastic like the dagi.
if the Dagi has a hardened tip, wouldn’t it scuff up your screen over time?

how is the print quality??? can u do a video on that? especially when u print with color… and would you change your opinion about the ipad if it has weight sensitivity?

@LatinVixen Yup. The original was filed in ’08. On Jan. 14th of this year they submitted modifications & a new illustration. I’d link but it’s youtube. The patent goes into detail of why low res capacitive sensors are great for finger input, but not for pen input. It explains a few solutions, one of which involves bluetooth communication of pressure and tilt, and also an electrical charge in the pen tip. Sounds innovative, let’s hope it surfaces. @ArtByJamesThornton have you heard any new news about that this year? I know they mentioned it summer of last year but have not heard much more.
@jerrymcneive The one they sell at apple the original one. Not very pretty in my opinion but it does protect the machine very well.
@Lengi123 I like both, but the dagi takes less effort when gliding on the screen.
I think I’d like the pogo better
Just watching you draw is great enough for a subscription. I can’t draw for crap myself, (I’m not very skilled in art) and I’m only 15, so yea, I couldn’t get any pro things to use other than a paper notebook and a pencil

Also, I use Cintiqs. They’re nice, but certainly not all they’re cracked up to be. Not pinpoint accurate, but still fun. The iPad will not replace them in the finalization phase, but it will replace them often in the sketching and composition phase. Nothing like having a digital canvas that portable. I hate being stuck in an office. Also, you should check out Adobe Ideas. Free! Vector based, huge canvas, capable of print res (but it’s in the early stage). Different, but certainly worth a look.

Apple has filed a patent for a capacitive stylus capable of not only fine point drawing, but also pressure sensitivity and tilt. The patent is lengthy, but innovative. Filed jjust this year. Sketchbook Pro has been in the top 20 most sold apps since the iPad release, so the customers have voted on what they want the iPad for. It may actually surface

@ArtByJamesThornton I had seen people using it on their phones and it looked odd. My husband was not convinced either, nor my friends. I got it to test it out and I find it much better than the pogo. You don’t have to press as hard, and way more accurate.
