I made a comment about this before but here’s another one…. My grandmother’s water heater exploded once and all it did was shake the floors a bit. My guess is that row houses from the 1930s or before are stronger than California code built houses today??

@DUI405 Whenever I have the oppertunity to say it, I do.

  3. DUI405 says:

@COLUMBINE1818 ever noticed Adam says “Well there’s your problem” every single time something is destroyed ? it’s freaky o__o

  4. steeljawX says:

Eww. Did Adam just say, “That’s pretty hot.”?! That’s not a phrase to be used in that sort of context by a Mythbuster. it’s too close to some spoiled blonde chick’s catch phrase to end every part of her career.

@dtwilight73 i was just kidding lol

  6. dtwilight73 says:

will a japanese katana mounted on the sled split it clean down the middle?

  7. dtwilight73 says:

@Qasimbajwaa screw that. I dont think your safe with 5 floors AND the roof

  8. alder321 says:

nice but i’d like to see a heater filled with gasoline or diesel heated up that way in a real houses basement – not just a flimsy wood house.

  9. VWeooo says:

Wonder what would it be if the house was built with concrete floors like they are built in other countries.

  10. Qasimbajwaa says:

thank god my house has 3 levels

i have a water heater smack dab in my room right now…

  15. starscreamthe7th says:

Damn, I’m in a one story house, and that means that the water heater is in the garage, about 3 feet from my computer. I’m scared now. *checks safety vales*

  16. gl15col says:

Thanks a million for posting these, I don’t have cable or sat tv, so this is my only way of watching my favorite shows!

  17. hawkerrose99 says:

hmm. wait a second, if they were to build a 2 story house, and the water heater is in the basement, so, it means it has to be a 3 story house.. the basement, 1st flr, and 2nd flr .

  18. is4lip says:

“Your water heater is like a ticking time bomb in your basement!!!” Now I’m scared because I’m watching this video in my basement.

  19. COLUMBINE1818 says:

Well there’s your problem at 4:10. Your water heater has disembarked from your basement!

  20. LordOfTheGnus says:

  23. kilgoretroutcanada says:

I loved this explosion (water heater). I swore I’d never try this at home but omg I’d love to. The folks who live upstairs would be really peeved and the landlord would murder me but wow! Even after seeing the first one I didn’t expect that result. Thanks MB and thanks Itskshiue, It’s a priveledge to subscribe.
