Thanks! I think I used the Canon Vixia HF11 in this video. I have the HF11 and HF20. They are both phenomenal!

Excellent. I knew it was just a matter of a software update.

The nook firmware update has been issued December 21. The device works much faster now with quicker page turns and quicker formatting.

I thought my Kodak Zi8 took excellent HD, your camcorder has amazing HD quality.

Very good review, you were intelligent and the review was informative. Thank you!

The back pops off which is how you put in the sd card. I can wait ill they are shiping mine on the 4th, which kinda sucks cause it is a christmas present but it will be ten days late, i did think it was pretty slow but my dad (who is a computer programer) said that that the first update for most systems adds somewhere between 1/2 to twice as much speed to the system, which i really hope

Good vid. But the nook looks too “rushed” I tried a somy e-reader and it worked amazing and the entire thing is a touchscreen. I think it beats the Nook by far. But awesomeme job Quinn

I didn’t record it with iPhone. I used a Canon Vixia HF20. YouTube just takes a few hours to process the HD.

    Great video Quinn!
Which do you prefer, kindle or nook? (probably the nook since at the end of the vid you said you were going to get one over the holidays?) hehe. :D

    Nice 1st impressions video, Thanks!

  16. Grubmeyer says:

Awesome video! I was wondering about this thing. Kinda torn between the 2 major devices available. From what I’ve read, the Kindle is still a more desirable device, however the Nook is just a firmware update away from being the front runner.

    Thank you!

i have a bit of a dilemma, i want to get my mom an ebook reader for the holidays and i was set on the kinde 2 but then i started to hear about the nook and decided to hold off on my purchase until i was able to see reviews of the nook. my mom is not really tech savvy, so i think the whole touchscreen idea probably is not great for her but if the overall experience and user interface is simpler and more enjoyable, than i would go with the nook. what would you say quinn??
