One of my resolutions for 2010 is to read more. I used to read a lot but have gotten away from it recently. But, my new E-Reader, the Libre from Aluratek, is quickly turning me back into someone who loves to read. I have been interested in e books and e-readers for a number of months and finally got serious about doing some research. What I found was that there are a lot of options in the market and many of them are fairly affordable. I wanted something straight forward that was lower priced and offered a lot of flexibility. My research led me to the Libre. Here is my video review. Be sure to check out my blog post for more info and links to resources: www.bikebeerbbq.com

@BreetaiZentradi Now if I could get my crystal ball to predict when I’m going to win the PowerBall!
Congratulations on your prediction. It took 4 months for it to drop to $120 and 7 months for it to drop to the predicted $99
@nahia2008 Yes, you should be able to put them on the reader with no problems.
can i put in pdf ebooks that i already own?
@pricardo333 No problem!
@VideoBeerReviews Lol excuse my kiddish language. All i’m saying is, that website takes you to books that would otherwise cost you $10+ in the ebook stores.
@pricardo333 Downloading for free is fine if the book is available (public domain) but if it’s not then you have to pay for them. That doesn’t seem retarded to me.
Download free books at gigapedia(dot)com lmao don’t buy them that’s retarded
@RONINBVL Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
best hands on review!
@ioriqyz I’m glad you enjoyed the review!
agree! this kind of friendly video is wayyyyyyy much better than those “pros”..
also more detail.. thank you!
@kikareth That’s a great price!
@VideoBeerReviews no. fry’s are selling them new.
sale until may 13th.
@VideoBeerReviews nope new. was in today’s (5/7/10) ad. seemed too good a price, but your review sealed it for me; ordered it immediately after watching.
@99darkrune Thanks! I’ve done a lot of “video reviews” (mostly of beer) and I definitely enjoy babbering on camera
Maybe I have a future in this.
$80 is a fantastic price! Was it a refurb?
very good review. even better than the “pros” such as tigerdirect. i bought it from fry’s for $80.
@gardenman3 Glad to hear it!
@nhojproductions Very good! I’m glad you like it. For the money, the Libre is a good deal.
Your Review helped me choose my Libre. I love it
Thanks again I am 100% happy with my purchase of the Aluratek Libre based on your review!
works flawlessly
@VideoBeerReviews
thankyou man, my local NCIX is closed on Sunday today! but Ill be their tomorrow morning buying one of these!
Im learning animation so all I really need is to look at character model sheets and read animation pdfs!
I also know that these baby’s will look obsolete in a year or two even the $600 dollar ones so might as well buy this one that seams to be the most affordable and trustworthy based on its review by really nice people like yourself
@nhojproductions The Libre has a very readable screen but there is a very slight gratint to the background, it’s not pure white. I haven’t looked at many other e-readers so I don’t have a lot of comparison. Try one out before you buy it just to make sure would be my suggestion.
If you could answer my question I would be most grateful,I’m about to go purchase one depending on what your answer is
compared to other E-readers, does this ones screen and wording look Dull?,i mean a bit darker or does it look pretty much the same! like actual paper such as the sony E-reader
@smaror If you attach a little clip on light, like you would with a regular book, you can read with no problems in the dark.
