It’s a big ass iPod touch. No multiasking or camera? Meh. Best web browsing experience with no Flash? Pfft. Too many sites use flash to just ignore it. Dammit apple just put a real OS on it. Guess I’ll have to wait for a MacBook touch or something.

I’ll just stick with my 3gs for now.

  3. bittman25 says:

so the base model is 500$. they’re making a big deal of its gaming capabilities who plays most of those games on iphones and touches. kids/ young adults but how many young people have much cash. i guess the biggest reason to buy it is to say you have that much money.

  10. cazadorDeBlackHoles says:

I can’t wait to see how that shit works with jailbreak lol

  11. tylercj says:

nice man! we just gotta be thankful for our vaios and itouches and keep saving up the $2,000 to get out apple upgrade. try to save up the money instead of going into debt. you will be making a better decision by paying in cash. i promise. its smart financial advice i learned.

  12. MrSquitwet says:

because you can buy a stylus for like 5 bucks, dude…

  13. Lawtsy15 says:

  15. speedyduck38 says:

  16. TerrillPattersonk says:

    Get a Free iPad, but hurry before they run out, at b e s t f r e e ipad (dot) com
    Just enter you zip code

  17. narutomagic says:

honestly i think that the ideas great, and the hardwares okay, but the software kills it! its just ugly with its iphone like interface. I was just hoping for a full on snow leopard on this thing much like the HP slate, but ehh for 500 bucks something shinny with an apple logo! its still gonna sell

  18. RetroPro says:

I wanted so bad to like this, but really lack of Camera and flash are deal breakers for me. I already own an iPhone so there isn’t any point in paying $500-$1000 for it to be super sized. You’d think an item that was supposed to “revolutionize” the way we surf the web would be able to view flash which is very heavily used on countless sites. I was really hoping they would have a front camera and would utilize iChat’s video chat. Guess not.

  19. Kantokin says:

No flash? No camera? No multitasking? No stylus? No buy.

  20. wasdt0m0ve says:

another thing by apple that is totally unnecessary

  21. viper7ryan says:

Definitely GETTING THIS!!!!!! I might wait a little bit for v2 for flash though…

  22. metroid1985 says:

i wonder if its compatible with windows :D

  23. tylercj says:

im seriously soon about to get a 13 inch macbook pro and a ipad! i dont have the money but i cant stand it! i want to upgrade soooo badly!! im really happy with my itouch.
i have a vaio too. u like ur vaio?

  24. speedyduck38 says:

your in the exact situation as me. i have a sony vaio and i am a university student studying editing so i need i movie. it would have worked great editing clips on a multi touch display but they probably left it out so they could have something to improve on in the 2nd gen of ipad. its just another way apple are getting money out of people. if you purchase any mac, imac or macbook you will get i movie preinstalled.. lets get our hopes up for ipad 2nd gen before the 1st one is even out lol :P

  25. binxia says:

this thing is amazing. A giant step toward the computer technology of the future and I get apple will sell millions of these iPads.
