Make Money Online Self Publishing

Make Money Online Self Publishing

Make Money Online Self Publishing

Originally the Music Industry Connection Book Series was published in print form. In order to increase my cash flow and revenue stream I began looking at how I might make money online self publishing. Here’s what I found:

* The process to make money online self publishing is not hard.

* Making money online is not a get rich quick scheme.

* To make money online self publishing typically requires you take immediate daily action. You’ll want to get your own website.

* Typically to make money online self publishing you’ll need the following:

A burning desire, almost to the pint of obsession to succeed.

o A product like an ebook, info-product or special report to sell.

o Website, minisite, webpage or blogto sell and promote your product from.

o A way to accept credit cards online

o An ebook marketing plan.

o A quick secure way to deliver your ebook, info-product or special report to clients.

o You’ll want to get your own domain name, url or website address.

A burning desire is needed because you’ll undoubtedly have days, weeks even months were you are seeing little to know revenue being made. I’m not sure if your born with the capacity for burning desire to the point of obsession or not, but it seems like a prerequisite to achieve certain levels of success. You must tap into your own capacity for burning desire and apply it.

Creating a product like an ebook, info-product or special report is relatively straightforward and will afford you the opportunity to make money online self publishing. Here is what you do.

* Write about what you know.

* Include references and links to professionals and experts in that field, it adds credibility to your ebook, info-product or special report.

Your information can be as short or long as you want. To ensure value for your readers, your writing should do one or more of the following:

* Solve a problem

* Answer a question

* Tell a compelling story

* Give credible references and resources

In our micro-wave society we tend to want what we want, how we want it, when we want it. Give readers this, market your e-product daily almost to the point of obsession and you will position yourself to make money online self publishing.

This is meant to either get you started or get your creative juices flowing so you can create and implement a practical plan for your ebook, info-product, special report or self published paper back book. Remember your plan need not be elaborate for you to achieve success. It does call for you to take immediate daily action.

Options For The Self Publisher

Options For The Self Publisher

Options For The Self Publisher

You have finished writing your book.  Now you want to figure out how to get it published.  The traditional way is to approach established publishing companies and get them interested in the project.  But times are changing and you may want to publish the book yourself.  Well, it’s the right time to do that!  Publishing has never been easier to do or less expensive.

There are two options in “self publishing”.

Subsidy publishers/printers.  The terms subsidy publisher and subsidy printer are essentially interchangeable.  A search for self publishing resources on the Internet will yield subsidy printers.  Subsidy printers offer more services than the usual commercial printer.  The services may include transforming the manuscript into book format, creating a book cover, registering the book with various book databases, possibly some distribution, editing, and, perhaps, limited marketing.  You pay the subsidy printer for each service selected.  Almost all of these printers put one of their International Standard Book Numbers (ISBNs) on the book.  To members of the book trade, the owner of the ISBN is considered the publisher.  While this option works well in some circumstances, for general book trade purposes, these books are not usually well regarded.  This is because they tend to have been poorly designed and edited.  Also, book traders know that they rarely come with an intensive marketing campaign which is what it takes to sell large numbers of books (thereby making a profit!).

Self publish.  The second option might be called the true self publishing option.  In this case, the author takes on all the roles of the publisher.  This includes having the book edited, designed, printed, registered, marketed, distributed, and sold.  Writing a book can be a tough, time-consuming experience.  Publishing a book can be even more challenging.

This option works well if you are willing to learn how to do each of the steps required to publish a book and understand that publishing is, first and foremost, a business.

Technologies introduced in the last ten years have put book publishing within the reach of more people than before.  There are desktop publishing programs which supply the tools needed to design a book and its cover so the commercial printer can produce your book.

The other big game changer in publishing is print-on-demand.  Print-on-demand is a printing method in which new copies of books are printed only when an order is received.  This is done using digital printing.  While the unit price is higher than with offset printing, there are several advantages.

*The setup is quicker and set up costs are lower than offset printing.

*Large inventories do not have to be kept, reducing warehousing, handling, and inventory accounting costs.

*There is little or no waste due to unsold product.

Digital or print on demand printing is frequently used by subsidy printers, self publishers, and by traditional and academic publishers looking to manage the costs of their backlist or to do test marketing.

You can, of course, still choose to use what is called a “short run” with a commercial offset book printer.  A typical short run is 1,000 books.  The lowest “short run” I have found with an offset printer is 500 copies.  Offset printing is relatively inexpensive per book ordered and the price per book drops with increases in the ordering quantity.  “Offset” printing is a mass production method of transferring images from a plate to a rubber blanket and finally to the printing surface.  It is the most common method of printing in use today.

As a self publisher, you can use a mixed strategy.  Employ print-on-demand as the standard way of having your book available in small quantities.  An example would be a single order of up to 1000 books.  Opt for the offset print run to fulfill single orders over 1000 books.

Self publishing can be very rewarding.  Effort and research on your part is required, but is well worth it.  The information in this article will help you add to your resume – published author!

How to Self Publish on Amazon Using a Book Template

How to Self Publish on Amazon Using a Book Template

The aim of this Article is to give you the skills and knowledge to take an existing Ebook, and publish it as a physical book on Amazon to increase exposure, boost credibility, and provide you with an additional stream of income.

There are a number of other distinct advantages to being a published author.

You will be quoted in both the media and other books.
You can add the book to your CV, biography and other marketing literature.
You can purchase your own books at a heavily discounted price from the printer, and sell them yourself at seminars, conferences, training events, to customers, loved ones and friends.
When you publish more than one book in your niche you gain credibility and become an expert in your field. This will increase your customers trust in you, and will lead to many indirect sales and consulting engagements.

Who can publish a book on Amazon? The answer is anybody! That’s right YOU can publish a book on Amazon TODAY. There is a bit of setup required, however realistically, you could have a book published on Amazon within a week if you already have your manuscript ready. So if you have written Ebooks in the past that are sitting on your hard drive, you can publish them on Amazon as physical books to boost your sales, increase your credibility as an author and publisher and to provide another stream of income.

The good news is this isn’t going to cost you an arm and a leg, and you won’t need to invest in a print-run of tens of thousands of books to get started. There is technology called Print On Demand, or POD that you can take advantage of to only print the books that get ordered from your Amazon sales page. And the good news gets even better, POD publishers will not charge you a setup fee, and will only take a cut of the sale to cover their costs of printing the books as they are ordered.

Here is an example of what I am talking about.

For a book on Amazon, here is the breakdown of how the revenue is distributed:

List Price:
Amazon’s share: .62
Your royalty: .38

Or if you are on the Pro Plan (more on that later)

List Price:
Amazon’s share: .64
Your royalty: .36

You will note that there are a number of different payment plans that we will cover in more detail later in this Ebook. If we take the Pro plan as our example, for the book, you as the author will receive .36 for every sale. The remaining .64 will be split between your book printer and Amazon. This example is for a 166 page book.

Where to get started?

There are a number of Print on Demand companies that you can choose to publish your book through. Some of the more popular and reputable ones are:

lulu
lightningsource
iuniverse
createspace

If the company you choose to publish your print on demand book does not have an exclusivity clause, you can in fact use more than one publisher at a time. Be sure to check the terms and conditions of your contract to ensure you retain the copyright to your ebook before you sign with any POD company.

I use CreateSpace for my POD publishing. They allow you to retain the copyright on your book or ebook, and have a direct relationship with Amazon and will get you listed on Amazon without any fees or additional work on your behalf. Once your book is setup with CreateSpace and approved, they will submit it to Amazon on your behalf.

To create a free account at CreateSpace navigate to their home page and select ‘create a new account’.
You will then be required to fill in your details for your new account.
Then click the ‘Create My Account’ button.
You will be required to agree to the Membership agreement then click continue.
You will be immediately taken to your CreateSpace Account Page – more on this later.

How do you find a book cover and interior designer? Your finished, printed book will consist of both a cover file and an interior file. Both of these will need to be uploaded to your CreateSpace account to be reviewed, and then made active once you approve the proof.

Your cover file is a wrap-around file that consists of both your cover and back cover as well as the spine of the book.

When you choose your designer, you will need to point them in the direction of the submission requirements for the book located here:

CreateSpace/Help/Book/BWSubmission.jsp

Alternatively, if you are doing the design yourself, you will use these requirements to determine the spine width, bleed, crop marks, margins, image and font requirements as well as barcode location.

My recommendation is to use an experienced book designer if you don’t have experience doing this yourself, or to purchase a template designed specifically for use with CreateSpace.

The majority of designers will use Quark or Adobe Indesign to create your cover and interior file for you. They can output these to PDF which will allow you to proof your files before submitting them to CreateSpace. If you want to make your own adjustments, or use the files you get from your designer again for your next book, I recommend you invest in a copy of Adobe Indesign. You can a cheap, legal copies of Adobe Indesign by searching Google for ‘Adobe Indesign Discount’.

To find designers for your book, the best option is to create an ad on one of the popular outsourcing sites such as:

elance
getafreelancer

You will need to place an ad and be very specific about what you require. I suggest including the link to the specifications above, and to ask for previous examples of their work. For a 150 page book with cover, you shouldn’t need to pay more than 0. This is obviously dependent on who is available and what bids you receive when you place your ad. Here is an example of an ad you could place when searching for a designer:

Description: Format a 70+ page A4 e-book into the specifications detailed here using InDesign for output to PDF:

XXXX

I want to keep the font size the same so the resultant book will probably double in size to become 140 pages+. You will be required to arrange the pictures and text on the pages so they look clean, organised and professionally laid out.

You will also be required to create an eye-catching cover for the book.

The winning bidder will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Please provide details and examples of similar work that you have undertaken including book cover design and layout.

Good luck, happy bidding.

Job Type:

Graphic Design Proofreading

Here are some of the bids I received for the project above:

ClaudiaMesquita $ 100 6 days (365 reviews) Hi, Dear Sir. After working for 13 years in a major Portuguese Graphic Company (Ambar, SA) in the Investigation and Development department as a maquette and final arts maker, I’m starting to work as independent worker in this area. I’ve got a long experience of design, drawing (manual or vectorized art) photo mask and retoutching, editing and in final arts.

jannie $ 100 2 days (92 reviews) Hi, This is jannie plz check the PM for details thanks jannie No books in portfolio

adicaza $ 100 5 days (71 reviews) Hi! I am really interested in taking up the project. Please view my PM for details. Thanks.

iServe $ 80 2 days (71 reviews) Hi, let’s discuss in PMB.

perseus777 $ 55 5 days (68 reviews) Hi, my bid for the layout of the book. More on PM. Best regards, Velin.

lakov $ 50 2 days (27 reviews) Ready to start!

I cannot stress enough how important it is that you make sure you view prior work of the bidders before accepting a winning bidder. Although some of the bids here are as low as , after viewing their portfolio, and asking additional questions about the SPECIFICATIONS I had included, I was able to weed a lot of the amateurs out.

What specifications do you need to give to your designer?

You will need to get your designer to create your cover file based on the size of book you wish to sell. CreateSpace allows you to create books with the following dimensions:

Trim Size 5″ x 8″ 5.06″ x 7.81″ 5.25″ x 8″ 5.5″ x 8.5″ 6″ x 9″ 6.14″ x 9.21″ 6.69″ x 9.61″ 7″ x 10″ 7.44″ x 9.69″ 7.5″ x 9.25″ 8″ x 10″ 8.25″ x 6″ 8.25″ x 8.25″

A popular size for books is 8.25″ x 6″. Keeping your interior black and white will allow you to keep costs down. If your interior is mainly text, I would recommend you choose this option. The cover, back cover and spine of course will be full colour and UV coated.

Once you have your designer, you will need to send them the Word version of your Ebook, along with detailed instructions for the concept of your book cover.

You’ll notice in some books, on the spine there is a publisher logo. In this instance you will be the publisher. So I suggest you ask your designer to include a logo to give your book a more professional look. Think of a logo, or even use your own initials and include it on the back cover and spine of the book.

You will also need to give your designer direction for what to include as content on your back cover, and the tagline for your front cover etc.

For the back cover, be sure to include your best 2 testimonials that you received for your ebook. Also include an Author Biography, along with a short blurb about what is included in the book. You should also include your website URL somewhere on the back cover. Include your LOGO as suggested earlier. Also include your books category in the top left hand corner. An example is the category of Business Marketing.

If you have created an Index for your Ebook in Microsoft Word, this will not import into your Indesign file, as you will lose the correct page numbering. Your designer or you can create an Index using Indesign if you have the special plugin sold by virginiasystems, ask your designer to use this tool to automatically create a noun-based index for you.

Calculating your books thickness and spine width.

Your designer or you (depending on who is creating the cover and interior files) will need to calculate the spine width for your cover file. You can send the formula to do this to your designer, it can be found on the CreateSpace website.

The calculation varies depending on whether you are using white paper or cream paper. I prefer cream paper, as I feel it is easier on the eyes when reading, but you may prefer white paper. You need to decide up front what paper your book will be printed on.

Regarding spine width CreateSpace states:

Spine Width and Variance

Every book will vary slightly when bound. For best results, avoid hard vertical separations between your cover panels and spine. Allow for at least a .125″ variance of your spine on each side (for example, the text on a 1″ spine should be no larger than .75″ wide).

For books with a page count of less than 130 pages, we strongly recommend a blank spine. Blank spines are required for books with a page count of fewer than 100 pages.

Your spine width is calculated based on the number of pages in your book:

For black and white-interior books:

* White paper: multiply your page count by 0.002252
* Cream paper: multiply your page count by 0.0025

Example of spine width calculation for a 60-page black and white book printed on white paper

60 x 0.002252 = 0.135″ spine width

For color-interior books:

* Multiply your page count by 0.002347

Example of spine width calculation for a 60-page color book

60 x 0.002347 = 0.141″ spine width

If you pass the formula to calculate the spine width onto your designer, be sure to cross-check it yourself as well. CreateSpace will also cross-check this when you submit your files for review, and warn you of any discrepencies.

What is an ISBN number, do you need one?

Every book needs an ISBN number. ISBN stands for International Standard Book Number (ISBN) and is a 10-digit system (13-digit system if assigned after 2007) allowing publishers, libraries, and book dealers to identify books.

Each ISBN is unique to a specific book.

The ISBN is typically found over the bar code on the book’s back cover and on the title or copyright page.

CreateSpace can supply you with an ISBN number for free, however ‘CreateSpace’ will always be listed as the publisher if you use their free ISBN number. I strongly suggest you apply for your own ISBN number, and have your designer super-impose it on your back cover file for you. Having your own ISBN number will allow you to be credited as the publisher personally, and give you greater freedom when printing and distributing books through other avenues in the future.

To apply for your own ISBN, go to one of the following agencies:

thorpe
isbn
nielsenbookdata

Or search for your countries own ISBN application agency. Be sure to apply for both the ISBN number AND the barcode, so you will have the graphic to give to your designer to apply to the back cover of your book.

CreateSpace states the following regarding ISBN number printing on your book cover:

Barcode: When your title is printed, our system will place your ISBN barcode in a 2″ by 1.2″ white box in the lower right-hand corner of your book’s back cover. Our standard trim size templates will show you exact barcode placement.

Images or text in the barcode location will be covered when the book is printed. Make sure you don’t have any important elements where the barcode will be placed.

The Artwork Templates can be found here at CreateSpace.

They allow you to select your book type, size, number of pages and paper colour.

What information does your publisher need?

Once you have your completed files back from your designer in PDF format, you will be able to log into your account and upload them to CreateSpace. Once Logged into CreateSpace, select Add New Title to begin creating your book and uploading your files.

Select the Paperback Book option.
You will then be required to enter your Title information.
The Title (1) and Subtitle (2) should match the information you gave the ISBN agency when you applied for the ISBN number. Most times you will leave Volume Number (3) blank. The Description (4) will be used to describe your book. This information will be used in Amazon as well, so be sure to thoroughly explain the benefits of your book, and your qualifications as the author the same way you would on a regular sales page.
The next section will allow you to enter ISBN information.
If you want CreateSpace to assign your ISBN number for you, select option 1. If you recently applied for your own ISBN number, select option 2, and enter your ISBN number in the text field. Option 3 will most likely not be used unless you have an older unassigned ISBN number you want to use.
The Imprint name (4), is the entity that owns the ISBN number. If you applied for your own ISBN number, enter your name or company name there if you applied under a company name. If you are choosing CreateSpace to apply your ISBN number leave the Imprint Name field blank.
Click the Choose button (5) to assign the category to your book.
The category you choose should match the category you had designed in the upper left-hand corner of your book.
The next section will allow you to enter additional options. The main ones you will be interested in are the Author First Name and Last Name (1) and the Author Biography (2).
You will next be required to specify the physical properties of your book.
Enter your number of interior pages (1), the interior type (2) [generally set to black and white bleed], your trim size (3) and binding (4) [generally US Trade Paper], and your paper colour (5) you selected earlier when doing your spine width calculation.
Next you will upload your book interior file and your book cover file that were supplied back to you from your designer, or that you created using a template.
You will next have the opportunity to set sales and promotion settings for your book.
If you plan on selling more than a handful of books, you should select the Pro Plan.
Copies of your book will be cheaper when you order wholesale, and your royalties will be higher when you sell copies on Amazon. You can see the difference in royalties stated at the start of this article.
You will next have the opportunity to set your list price. You should research similar books and your competition on Amazon to ensure you remain competitive in the market, but that you leave enough of a margin to make a profit.
You will also be shown the royalties you will make on Amazon sales based on your list price, and E-Store sales (Sales from the CreateSpace website).
You will finally get a chance to review all the settings of your new title.
You can then submit your title for review. Review of a title only takes a day or 2, after your review is complete you can then order a proof copy to review the physical book.

When you receive your printed book in the mail, proof-read the book, and get some friends, family or colleagues to proof-read the copy as well. Take note of any irregularities in the layout and pictures. If all is well, you can approve your proof. Once approved, your book will be available to order immediately from the CreateSpace website.

When will your book be listed on Amazon?

It takes a couple of weeks for the details of your book to be passed through to Amazon and for Amazon to build your books listing page, however this all happens automatically, and you will not be required to do anything. You will notice your basic listing first of all, do a search under your author name or the title of the book.

After a few more days, your book will be enrolled in the Search Inside program. This allows potential customers to search within the content of your book, and is a very powerful selling feature. They can also view the front cover, contents page, index and back cover.

Your Amazon product page.

Your Amazon product page will list all the details of your book, and include a small version of your cover art. In the Product Details section, you will note that the publisher will be listed as CreateSpace. You should click Update product info below your Product Details section to inform Amazon that YOU are the publisher only if you purchased your own ISBN number.

The Product Details section will list your Amazon Sales Rank. This will increase as you continually sell more copies of your book.

How can I boost my Amazon sales?

There are many ways you can boost your sales on Amazon. Take a look at the following features within Amazon.

Self Publishing versus Traditional Publishing — How to Choose the Best Option for Your Book

Self Publishing versus Traditional Publishing — How to Choose the Best Option for Your Book

Self Publishing versus Traditional Publishing — How to Choose the Best Option for Your Book

Every aspiring author thinks about publishing his or her book. And with so many options available in this day and age (self-publishing, electronic publishing, traditional publishing, print-on-demand, etc.), if you’re writing a book, then you have a lot to think about!

Many writers think one of the most important decisions they can make is whether to seek a traditional publisher or self-publish. What’s the best choice? It depends. I always tell my clients that what’s best for one book isn’t best for all. All books are different and the best way to make it available to readers depends on the author’s situation and goals.

Benefits of Self-Publishing
Self-publishing is a great way to get your book in the hands of readers. In other words, it’s not just for people writing a family history that won’t have much commercial appeal. Finding an agent, getting a publishing contract, and having your book published by a traditional company take time-often months or even years before the book actually goes to print. One of the main benefits of self-publishing is speed and control of the publication timeline. So if your book needs to be published as soon as possible, self-publishing is definitely the way to go. When you self-publish, you also control the -content and book design. These benefits make self-publishing ideal for those who want to use the book to grow their business, start a business, or establish expertise quickly.

Benefits of Traditional Publishing
Getting a publishing contract can be difficult, but it’s not impossible. So if that’s what you want, go for it. Just be prepared to work hard to get what you want. Many people attach stigma to self-published books, as if they aren’t as valid as a commercially published book. If you’re one of those people, or you don’t have the money to self-publish successfully (hiring editors, proofreaders, cover designers, etc. is not cheap), then traditional publishing is the best option for you. Your publishing company will set you up with an editor to help you write the best book possible, and a team of proofreaders will go through your book before it goes to press. And if you’re an experienced writer with a platform and readership, then you’re in a great position to get a publishing contract.

Does it Really Matter?
Publication means making your book available to readers. And in recent years, “available” has expanded beyond the books you can find on the bookstore shelf. I got a Kindle for my birthday last month, and now that e-books have become part of my every day reading experience, I’ve paid more attention to how they’re making an impact on the book publishing industry. Although it has been around for a few years, many predict this will be a big year for e-readers. As far as publishing goes, electronic devices connected directly to bookstores create a shift that seems to further blur the dividing lines.

How the book is published matters less than the fact that a high quality book is available. For example, I recently read about Anthropology of an American Girl by Hilary Thayer Hamann. The author self-published her novel, found her readership, and then got it traditionally published by a Random House imprint. Was she just lucky? No. She wrote a good book. That’s how you get readers.

What does it take to write a great book? That depends. It’s a combination of a solid idea, good writing, and demand in the marketplace. Getting a publishing contract with a commercial publishing house means you’ll have a team of people working with you to ensure your book is the best it can be. If you decide to self-publish, you are solely responsible for doing whatever it takes to make your book a success, whether that means hiring a ghostwriter, taking a book writing class, working with an editor, or rewriting it twenty times.

No matter how your book is ultimately published, keep in mind that great books add to the conversation and make a contribution to the world of ideas. Great books have a way of finding their readers and being successful. So know what your publishing options are, make a decision based on the pros and cons, and get your best book out there.

Consider Self Publishing in Ebook Format

Consider Self Publishing in Ebook Format

Consider Self Publishing in Ebook Format

Today, more than ever before authors are presented with publishing opportunities that have never existed before. This is not to understate the hard work that authors have to go through to get recognition, write great books, and make a full time living from their passion of expression. However, it is to say that today, due to advances in communications technology, authors can now get their books distributed much easier than they could a decade ago. One very popular way that authors are distributing their work is digitally through eBooks. Digital books are gaining so much popularity that even some of the most popular authors in the world have used it to distribute their books. Stephen King for example published “Riding the Bullet” exclusively in eBook format. When this eBook began distribution over Barns and Nobel and Amazon there was so much demand for the download that the servers of these two book giants slowed down almost to a halt. People that wanted to download the eBook were put in a large queue with the hundreds of thousands of other who downloaded the eBook as well.

It’s not only big name authors that are finding success in eBooks. We at EBook Architect have been helping authors create market and sell their eBooks online for years now with great success. Many of these people are first time authors and are often amazed with the success of their eBook sales. Below are some of their eBook writing tips.

Don’t underestimate the power of the EBook

EBooks are still looked upon as unpopular by many authors who have not yet taken the time to learn about the success within this industry. For example, while the traditional publishing industry growing at the sluggish rate of 5% a year the digital publishing industry is growing at rates between 30% -50%. This means that the opportunities within the publishing industry are growing at a fraction of the rate that opportunities within the digital publishing industry are growing.

To set up an eBook you don’t need to be a tech wizard

Setting up your eBook from the idea conceptualization stage to the selling stage can’t be completed overnight but it is definitely something that can be done by anyone regardless of your technological background. If you can use a word processor then you can create and sell an eBook online. While it is recommended you set up your own website, it is not necessary. Setting up an EBook site is virtually costless and you keep 100% of the profits

With traditional publishers you’ll be lucky to see 10% of the profits from your book. With eBooks however, you keep 100% of the profits minus the fees required to set up the site which are minimal. Here is the fee breakdown for eBooks vs. traditional books:

EBook vs. Book cost

EBook = Free to create an unlimited number of copies

Book = approximately 00 for 200 copies of a 200 page soft cover book

Rights and profit

EBook = You keep 100% of the profits and rights to your eBooks

Book = You get 10-40% royalty (usually about -/ book)

With the above examples it is easy to see that for first time author’s eBooks make a lot of sense. The risk associated with publishing an eBook is much lower than it is with distributing a soft or hard cover book. Likewise, as an eBook author you’ll keep virtually all of your own profits.

If nothing else, it is something worth consideration. EBooks may not replace traditional paperback books, but they certainly are gaining popularity at a rate that should make all authors stop to think about how they could use eBooks to their advantage.

Self Publishing 101 How To

Self Publishing 101 How To

Self Publishing 101 How To

There are many great advantages of self publishing an ebook, rather than a traditional print style book. The main advantage has got to be the cost.

When you publish a print book, you have to pay the publisher. When you publish your own ebook you are the publisher. When you publish a print book, the publisher always gets a cut of your hard earned money from the books sales. But when you sell each ebook, the profit is 100% yours.

There is also no need for printing, packaging, and shipping charges. So not only are you saving money for yourself, your customers will end up saving money. By having no extra charges to pay, you are able to offer a lower price for your ebook. When customers see that the price is lower, of course they will be excited and want to purchase your ebook.

When you sell a lower priced, high quality ebook, you create relationships with loyal readers that support your work and efforts to give them the best possible deals.

When you publish a print style book, you need to send in your manuscript to several potential publishers, crossing your fingers hoping that they accept your work. Even after you’ve been accepted, editors may wish to change your manuscript. Self publishing your own ebook, there are no editors to change your work. So your work truly is your work.

There are no deadlines to keep when your are writing and ebook publishing. You are free to work at your own pace, and whenever you have the extra time. ebooks are much easier to produce and quicker than a traditional print book.

Ebooks are a vastly growing phenomenon in this day and age. Everyone is growing more and more comfortable with gadgets, and computers. People are always looking for the next best thing, and ebooks are the next best thing to the actual print style book.

Ebooks don’t have to be read solely on computers. There are ebook reading devices. So you can take your ebook with you wherever you go. Just like a traditional print style book, minus the weight and clutter of traditional print style books.

Ebook publishing is extremely low-risk and easy. You aren?t spending a ton of money to create your ebook, as you would with a traditional print style book. You aren’t paying to ship your manuscript to dozens of publishers. You are simply typing your ideas, compiling them into the right format and posting them on your web site.

If you have a business that you need to promote, why not post advertisements inside the pages of your ebook. People who read your ebooks will see this advertising and want to check it out.

The internet is an amazingly effective marketing tool. You can target any specific market of people easily. Whatever genre your ebook is, you will find that target market on the internet.

There are so many growing ebook publishers out there, and so many ebooks to choose from. Downloading and reading ebooks has never been easier. This is the age of technology and ebooks are being considered as the new hardcover.
