Dearly Beloved To Play Chart Magazine NXNE Showcase

(PRWEB) May 28, 2006

Toronto based band, Dearly Beloved will be performing at NXNE as part of the Chart Magazine Showcase at The Drake Hotel in Toronto on Thursday, June 8, at 11pm. You Are the Jaguar, the bands debut album will be released on July 11, 2006 on Kindling Music.

Formed in early 2005, Dearly Beloved includes Rob Higgins (lead singer and bass), Niva Chow (vocalist), Shannon Foerter (vocalist), Damon Richardson (guitar), Alex Oreilly (drums) and John Pogue (guitar). Higgins and Richardson played together in Change of Heart, Richardson recently left Danko Jones and Oreilly played with Higgins in Doctor. The rest of the band also worked and collaborated before in various projects before joining Dearly Beloved. They are a group of talented friends who came together to help Higgins make a record and in the process became a family.

That bond is evident when you see this group live and is also an essential ingredient in making Dearly Beloved stand out from the rest. Influences from 70′s UK punk to early 80′s pop to Detroit rock and roll give this band a touch of uniqueness. “Chaos tempered with love delivered with great fury.” Gail.com

Dearly Beloved’s live show is not to be missed. In addition to the NXNE showcase on June 8th at the Drake Hotel, Dearly Beloved will be part of Edgefest in Toronto on July 1st at the Molson Amphitheater with Our Lady Peace and opening for C’mon and Bionic on July 28th at the Horseshoe.
