How much are you willing to pay for advertising? What would it be worth to you to get advertising open to billions of people worldwide? Let’s cut out the sales pitch because you know all about that. Do you know how to get free advertising online? In fact, do you know how to get the right kind of advertising offline – and free of charge?
Probably not, but I do. So the question now is how much are you prepared to pay me to find out? When I look at the keyword analysis of people seeking free advertising, there are from 10,000 – 50,000 searches on Google looking for information on how to get free advertising every month. That’s right – up to 50,000 every month. In fact 250,000 every month are looking for ‘free advertising’ without any qualification.
Guess what! The answer is right at your fingertips. No matter what you want to advertise, and no matter how difficult you have found to advertise your product or service in the past, it is easy to advertise online what you have to offer without paying a single cent for the advert.
So what’s the secret? There is no secret. I have been advertising it for free for many years, yet even I have been making the mistake that 99.99% (a guestimate!) of those that advertise their products make. That mistake is to assume that the people that matter will see your advert. Note the ‘that matter’ part.
Do you like cats? There’s no point in you trying to sell cat baskets to internet marketing gurus or young girls looking for how to choose the best cat for them. The latter example is easier to sell your cat baskets to than the former, but it’s only a matter of degree. You still have to persuade them they need a cat basket. You can sell bait to an angler, but you still have to persuade them they need YOUR bait, or the kind of bait you are selling.
The best way of using free advertising is to use it sell something that has already been sold. At least, the idea has been sold, and all the prospective buyer needs is a nudge. To do that you have to be like that prospective buyer – I don’t like the word ‘prospect’ – it sounds too commercial! My future customers know what they need; they just don’t realize it yet. Don’t click away when I tell you, because many might just do that. Like many online secrets, it is no secret all. It is by using a technique that you all have likely heard about (although that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work), just that you have been taught badly.
I don’t work full time at internet marketing. I am an industrial chemist and part of my job is to train people how to manufacture our product (hot stamping foil – look it up!).
I do that pretty well because I can put myself in their place. I had to learn sometime, and they don’t teach my product in college. I learned from my first manager, and like to think that I can pass my knowledge on to others fairly easily. Learning how to make money online is a bit like that, and so is learning how to advertise for free. Free advertising is a skill, and it is easy to get.
Here are some ways:
1. Use posters. If you market health products, whether your product is a health food , supplement, equipment or an eBook or video, then ask your local health center of you can put up a poster. Offer to pay if you get a sale (so it still free until then) if necessary. Ask if you can leave leaflets in the rest rooms, or even make reduced price offers for anybody that joins the club through your affiliate site. There’s an idea: Offer to promote the health club for a percentage, and offer your product free if they take it up.
2. Ask your local authority if they have any sites where you can put up a poster advertising your product, and you will also include the local authority services in the same ad.
3. Ask local radio for a free slot: perhaps you can advertise their services on your website in return
4. Write articles.
So there you are: four great ways that you can use to get free advertising.
What’s that last one? Write articles?
Sure – that will likely bring you the best return because you can write and publish articles all over the internet advertising your product or service. Look back to the start of this article. How much are you willing to pay for advertising?
It doesn’t matter what your answer is. Articles are free for you to write if you know how. The problem is the ‘knowing how’. Then learning how to do it. If you learn how to write articles properly, and not just go through the motions, as the vast majority appears to do, then you are on to a winner.

Who has not downloaded free eBooks during their time here online? They are literally everywhere and some provide real insightful and valuable information. In this article I will share with you how to get targeted traffic through free eBooks.
Have you ever considered writing your own eBook? Here is an easy way to accomplish this that will get your information in front of thousands of people.
If you have written any articles on a particular subject that have listed helpful information, take three to five of those articles and string them together. You can title them something like “Top 3 Tips”, etc. on your particular subject or niche and make them into a PDF. What is Craig’s list?
For those of you that don’t know, Craig’s list is a very powerful way to generate free traffic to your website. Craig’s list is actually a classifieds advertising website, which means that it’s main purpose is to sell second hand goods. But, if were a little bit sneaky, we can drive free traffic to our website.
Step 1:
Ok, first of, all you need to do is go to www.craigslist.org, this will bring you to a page with lots of different category option. First choose your location. chose one of the major city, some where that you would expect to get a lot a reads. For Example – London, New York, Chicago.
Step 2:
To the left hand side you will see a search option. Type in your chosen niche, select services then click the ‘>’ button. This will take you to a page where you can see all of your competition. Now, depending on what you’ve type in will depend on how much competition you
will be up against.
Step 3:
Lets do a better job. As with all marketing, you need to look at you competition, and be able to to a better job. So, check out the title lines that the others are using and find ways of improving them. You need to – make your title a call to action line – create suspense – use Capitalization – include the orange ‘img’ at the end. This is added if you ad an image to your post. The job of your title is to get visitors to click it.
Step 4:
Setting up your ad. Down the left hand side, click onto ‘My Account’. Below the signup box, click the link ‘Click here to sign up’. Fill out your Email address, them enter your verification word. They will then send you an Email to confirm your account.
Step 5:
Posting your ad: On the home page select the location that you want to post your ads – London, Miami etc. Then click the ‘Post to classifieds’ link. Once inside, select the category that you want your ad to appear in.
Step 6:
Writing your ad: Ok, you should already have an idea for your headline. Remember, make it catchy. Now all you have to do is write your body copy. Once again, the purpose of your body copy is to try and get the reader to take action. You want them to visit your website.
Step 7:
Confirm your details: Once you have finished your ad, simply confirm your details and your done.

I’m sure that most of you reading this will know that writing articles and distributing them to online article directories is probably the most potent and immediate way to increase traffic to your website.
In this article I will give you the benefits of this type of free website marketing.
Firstly, having written an article on your chosen subject you will be considered by many to be an expert in your chosen field.
Do you think that I’m an expert on writing articles? I’ve written this article and you haven’t, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that I know more than you! Perception nearly always defines our reality, and in some ways defies it.
Secondly, your article should always be related to your website topic. If you own a website devoted to trains, write an article about trains. Your readers will almost certainly visit your website to see what is on offer.
Thirdly, with each article that you write you will include a resource box. This resource box (sometimes called an author bio) contains whatever information that you want the reader to know, such as your website address or the web address of whatever affiliate product you are promoting at the moment.
This is perhaps the most important part of the whole process, because your main objective should be to get traffic back to your website. You may just like writing and informing or entertaining people and have no website to speak of. That’s fine whatever does it for you.
Fourthly, every article that you have published will give you a one-way link back to your website. We all know that search engines love links, but your article will be put alongside other articles with similar content and your website will mirror the content of your own article, so the search engines will prize these links higher than a link from a website that has a totally different subject matter.
Fifthly, once you have gone to the trouble of submitting your article to a zillion-and-one article directories you can sit back and relax. Let nature take its course. You now have a zillion-and-one links pointing to your website.
It gets better! Website owners are constantly on the lookout for original content for their own website or to include in their weekly ezine or newsletter. As long as your article is fairly grammatically correct, has no glaring errors and is entertaining or informative, they are entitled to use the article free-of-charge so long as they include the resource box that came with it. Do you see the wonderful potential of this fairly basic marketing vehicle?
Submitting your article to as many article directories as you can find is a fairly laborious task, but once the initial work has been done, you can sit back and relax for a while before starting work on your next article.
